Relaxed opening of Still I Rise exhibition at the Arnolfini with BSL interpretation

Posted on

We have been working in partnership with the Arnolfini to arrange a tour of their current exhibition designed for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community.

Join us between 10:00 and 12:00 on Saturday 23 November for a free tour of Still I Rise where you will have access to equipment and guidance that will help you explore the artwork.

Two BSL interpreters will accompany the tour guide. The gallery has bone conducting headphones that can be used with a selection of the films on display in the exhibition.

Still I Rise: Feminisms, Gender, Resistance – Act 3 is a large-scale exhibition of international artists, highlighting the experiences of women and celebrating their triumphs – and showing how the struggle for liberation is ongoing and hard-won. For more details on the exhibition, please click here.

From 10:00 – 11:00 you are welcome to explore the galleries with BSL interpreters.

From 11:00 – 12:00 the Arnolfini invites you to the Light Studio for tea, coffee and biscuits and to gather your feedback. All feedback will be used to improve future events and services.

This event is free but booking is required. To book a place, please email information.assistant@arnolfini.org.uk or call 0117 917 2300. You will also be able to book by visiting the Information Desk in Arnolfini’s foyer.

This event aims to be welcoming and accessible to all. Please click here for more information about access at the Arnolfini.
